Seattle Children's Hospital. In my 13 years at SCH, I have held four positions, all in project or program management. My current position as Operational Facility Manager for Perioperative Services allows me to provide leadership and management of clinical and non-clinical construction, renovation, and move projects. I collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to determine objectives, scope, space allocation, cost, and prioritization and sequencing of requests. I partner with stakeholders to allocate and evaluate Perioperative space use to ensure that available facility resources are optimized to meet the needs for Perioperative functions and projected growth.
University of Washington. Over the course of my time at UW, I worked for three departments: Chemistry, Radiology, and the School of Public Health. In progressively responsible roles, I managed events, faculty recruitment, edited the alumni newsletter, and managed a staff of 12 (Chemistry); developed total compensation packages, managed lab moves, and streamlined the faculty onboarding process (Radiology); recruited students, designed a market analysis tool and methodology, and again edited the alumni newsletter (School of Public Health MHA Program).
Provided administrative support for complex litigation, including document preparation, filing, and tracking; calendar management; records review and summation; and research. For eight years, worked in law firms, moving steadily up from entry-level secretary to full-charge legal assistant to a senior partner. In 1997, I launched a successful freelance career.
